3 Great SEO Tricks

If you’re a webmaster who’s trying to get into the game of SEO for your site, you know how troublesome it can be to visit site after site, searching for techniques to employ and hope your search engine rating goes up. You’ll find yourself wading through lots of fluff in order to get to the real deal, so I’ve cut out the fat and presented you with these seven techniques which are a sure fire way to get your site search engine ready and recognized.

1. Syndicate Articles That Link To Your Site Map. While syndicated articles are a great way to obtain a one way backlink, they’re also a valuable piece of bait when it comes to search engine crawlers. These crawlers are frequent visitors to many high profile article directories. If you’re wanting to get your site indexed quickly, simply submit an informative article with information relating to your site to a site such as Ezine, or GoArticles.

However, one thing that isn’t mentioned frequently is linking to your sitemap. This sends the crawlers to the “directory” of your site, where they can quickly process and index all of your pages, instead of the few your article links to.

2. Translating your Webpage Into Other Languages. If you’ve been marketing your site in just one language, you’re missing out on about 64% of your whole marketing potential. This is because 64% of the world browses the web in a language other than English. If you become a multilingual marketer you can open up a new stream of search engine crawls, as well as a whole slew of new visitors.

3. Keyword Phrases That Convert. Selecting the right keyword phrases is the most essential part of any SEO campaign you’ll work on.  However, choosing the right keywords can be hard, if not impossible.  While general keywords such as “video games” or “real estate” may target a broad group of people and bring lots of visitors to your site, they have low conversion rates because they aren’t specific enough. You’ll be much more productive by targeting keyword phrases which are around three to four words long and provide a better idea of your topic, than over generalizing just to get traffic. Obviously, “xbox live arcade games” is going to net you more conversions for a video game site, than say, “xbox” would.
