Caroline Melberg’s False Claims On Over Posting Content
You’ve always been told that the more content you add to your website, the better off it is. But have you grasped the fact that it needs to be done both consistently and in a timely fashion? Doing otherwise may actually hurt your chances of reaching your desired rank.
Caroline Melberg of Small Business Mavericks stated that “Search engines look for organic growth - in other words, growth that seems natural,” meaning that “Since it’s not likely that you were able to write 100 articles in one day, Google and the other search engines will see this as unnatural and will count it against you in your page ranking.”.
While being Bryan Barletta over at SEOTimes.net may not hold as much staying power as Caroline Melberg of Small Business Mavericks, here’s something you have to understand:
There is no special code in your website that distinguishes whether you have multiple authors or one author. So how can Caroline’s view even hold any weight when that would indicate that any site from WebBlogsInc would find themselves penalized by Google.
SEO is full of opinions, but the ones that make it through to the top are the opinions that are full of hot air. Debunk every opinion you possibly can and share that knowledge with everyone. If not, there’s going to be someone somewhere that had actually written 100 articles per day, well written too, that has no idea what to do with them now. Granted, a better approach would be to split your content up into multiple sites, but if you keep your consistency, you won’t hit any issues.
So when it comes to not hurting yourself through posting content, make sure you post consistently, don’t abuse your keywords, and don’t post filler/garbage. Feel free to quote me on that.
