Keyword Density Explained

Keyword density refers to the percentage of a keyword or keyword phrase on a given page. While article writers figure out keyword density based solely in comparison to the content of the article, for SEO purpose, you need to take into account the entire HTML source code of the specific page. Search engine robots crawl through the source code of your web page, reading every line regardless of whether it’s relevant to the actual body of content or not, so figuring out your keyword density from your source code is by far your most accurate representation of that figure. You’re building up a reputable site and you’re looking for new places to gain authoritative links from when you come across the Yahoo! Site Directory. Sounds perfect. Yahoo! host it so clearly it’s got to have some pull, and it definitely does. But what bites you is the cost. $299 to SUBMIT a site to their directory. That doesn’t mean that they’ll actually accept your site. If your site is of adult content, then double that price. Plus, it’s an annually reoccurring price to boot!

What Is PageRank Sculpting?

Call it whatever you like: PageRank Hording, PageRank Siloing, or it’s latest name, PageRank Sculpting. The truth of the matter is, it’s all the same thing. The idea behind it is that, instead of allowing all your site links and outbound links to be dofollow, you cut off the unnecessary ones by using a nofollow tag.
